In emotional testimony in which several restaurant owners said they wouldn't survive 2021 without out door dining, business owners debated turning Court Street into a one way again for the summer. Several other business owners opposed the plan and even one resident complained that a Court Street restaurant wouldn't deliver to his apartment on Court Street, because of how long the one way loop takes on a busy night.
Selectman Quintal express reservations about the one way proposal due to Water Street traffic concerns. Town Manager Melissa Arrighi suggested a plan for two way traffic with staggered bump outs for some restaurants. The debate took place during last night's Board of Selectman meeting, no decisions were made.
