Cavacco critical of event attendance crackdown
One day after the Board of Health unanimously adopted tough new restrictions on public events, beyond what is required by Governor Baker, Selectwoman Betty Cavacco called on the Board to reconsider the limits which go into effect Monday.
"People with weddings are in a total chaos. How can we reduce numbers for a wedding and have 7500 kids in school. I don’t agree with this!," Cavacco said.
"Especially for these venues that have collected deposits and are barely surviving! I think we need to reconsider this action! My phone has been ringing nonstop about this!"
The new Plymouth event limits are 60 inside and 100 outside. Although the state guidance is 100 inside and 150 outside, even for "red" communities.
