Emergency response rates fell during Court Street one-way
Emergency response times fell when the Town imposed one-way traffic downtown to support outdoor dining last year. As a two-way, Court Street response times were within 3 minutes 70% of the time, with Court street as a one-way the 3 minute response time was achieved only 34% of the time. On average with Court Street one-way, emergency response arrived within 5 minutes 70% of the time, according to data released by Fire Chief Bradley this past Friday.
At least 15 Court/Main Street establishments have requested "bump-outs" to accommodate outdoor dining in 2021.
