Pizano, father of two Plymouth public school students, appointed to School Committee
Luis Pizano won a run off election to win a seat on the School Committee, during a joint Board of Selectman/School Committee meeting tonight by a 6-4 vote. Pizano, father of two Plymouth school students, will serve the balance of the term vacated by Lee Truschelli. Elections for the school committee come up in May.
After one round of voting among 11 candidates, Pizano tied Christie Nelson three votes each, which forced a run off second ballot. Pizano won the second ballot 6-4. Nelson is an advocate of a return to in person schooling.
