Survey: Parents overwhelming favor in person learning
According to a preliminary survey released by School Superintendent Campbell at Monday night's school committee meeting 98.2% of K-5 Plymouth families would choose in person learning and 92.8% of secondary school families would chose in person learning when it returns. Elementary students are scheduled to return, with masks, to full in person schooling on March 29th. The numbers reflect families participating in the current hybrid model.
Desks will be at a three foot distance, no gaiters will be allowed, unless as a supplement to a mask covering both mouth and nose. Campbell also asserted that the district has taken all ventilation and cleaning efforts recommended for a safe re-opening.
Campbell has also issued an additional survey to families on Monday, responses are due Thursday, one per family. The district has nearly 7200 students with 5700 unique families.
