Town officially asks state to lower Beaver Dam Road speed limit

The Town has officially asked MassDOT to lower the speed limit on the "Pine Hills" section of Beaver Dam Road from 45 to 40MPH.

Accidents on that stretch have been up slightly over the course of the last decade and the area is significantly more populated than when the original 45mph limit was set. The 30mph speed limits in the the area of the highway ramps would remain unchanged.
